[tomb of the diver, paestum]
gone things gone
stay starlight, threads through
edging the ground’s bowl in
a cleft,
blown golden halos
ground spreading, soft, the cave of the world was the cave of the body
egyptian blue
citrus-absence
what’s the point
of tears in the clean meadow?
still water in a still hole
shelter cave
in the ground
where one pulls into the other
back to the corner of the dream
the diver
won’t
is covering his howling center
